How to design and use a Quiet Place in your school
An Inset Day to help your school develop:
- Discover the energy of a natural space
- Develop imaginative opportunities for curriculum work and collective worship
- Find ways of sustaining the Quiet Space for the benefit of pupils and the greater school community
- Develop simple ways of encouraging stillness and reflection
Tie-ins: Healthy Schools Initiative; Excellence and Enjoyment.
The day is suitable for both Primary and Secondary schools and teachers might find it useful to come with an interested governor or parent.
Waltham Place, near Maidenhead, has a beautiful garden and home farm which will enhance the experience of this special Inset. Part of the day will be spent in the garden so please bring wellies and an umbrella just in case…!
